Piper Maddox have been engaged with a specialist engineering firm who develop cutting edge electric motors, generators and compressors for Automotive and Aerospace industries. They employ under 100 staff and operate with a flat reporting structure andexciting, dynamic "start-up" vibe. Having recently upgraded their facility, they have secured two major programmes focused on the design and development of hydrogen fuel cell propulsion technologies for aircraft.Alongside these projects, this firm also partner with a range of exciting Automotive OEMs developing compressor technologies for electric passenger vehicles. They are expanding rapidly and looking to establish themselves as a market leader in the developmentof electrified propulsion technologies.As part of this expansion, they are currently seeking an experienced Development Engineer with a Mechanical, Research and Development background to join the team on a permanent basis. They have discovered an innovative solution to a common problem with an ElectricMotor and are on the verge of something huge. Someone with experience in the mechanical design of an electric motor or battery refrigeration experience would be perfect for this role.What you will be doing:Developing concepts for existing and future projectsUtilising hand calculation and computer software to create conceptsSourcing and testing components from suppliers Simulating and testing the performance of your conceptsWorking with a small collaborative team to develop sustainable technologies for Aerospace and Automotive industries.
