Job Description

Deployment EngineerUtilities ClientWarwick (Remote)6 Months initial contractThe RoleThe successful candidate would be working on a new high security system project, tasked with deploying operational technology out in the field across the UK. To that end they are looking for a deployment engineer to assist in the design and build of a number of specialised windows high security laptops. The candidate will also participate in stakeholder management meetings and will be expected to travel where required during 2021 to ensure the successful deployment of these laptops and support the deployment team with advice and guidance where required.Skills/Experience

  • Knowledge of Windows Operating systems from early DOS through to Windows10
  • Knowledge of VMWare Virtual Machines
  • Installing and configuring software (that use external ports/devices etc.. for communication to external equipment)
  • An understanding of the operation of Active Directory and/or Azure AD
  • An understanding of Group Policy Objects
  • Building and configuring laptops
  • Deployment of laptops out to users
  • Onsite training of users
  • Understanding of Windows Hello for Business
  • Have come from a security aware background
  • Basic understanding of key security goals of endpoint security
  • Ability to articulate endpoint security risks to non-technical audience
  • Has been involved in generating some required paperwork for projects.
  • May be required to travel around UK for deployments.
  • Being able to be a point of contact for a section of business
  • Have been involved in testing of EUC software/solutions
    • Desirable Skills
  • Azure general security understanding (datalake experience desirable)
  • FireEye endpoint security knowledge would be advantageous but not essential.

  • Ability to translate technical requirements to non-technical stakeholder
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills
