Job Description

Location: Warwick - 1-2 days per week in office.Pay: £600 per day (umbrella - Inside IR35).Length: 6-month contract with the potential to renew.Cyber Security Project Manager (lead)Job Purpose* The Project Manager is responsible for managing, leading, controlling, and supporting the project team toward a successful project outcome (one that achieves the stated benefits for the project) within the appropriate time, cost and quality criteria.* Adhering to all Transmission Cyber standards and procedures as determined by the Steering Committee and Programme Board, the Project Manager delivers the agreed project/s from initiation to completion.Desirable Experiences-First principles / Bottom Up planning and cost forecasting-Regulatory or investment programme submissions- Security (Enterprise, Critical Infrastructure)Key Accountabilities*Maintaining documentation as required to ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulatory requirements*Work with IT and Security as required to deliver all relevant IT components and any IT relevant processes are adhered to*Ensure the Project team are integrated and fully understand the Delivery Process within the GT Cyber Programme*Work with the Programme Management Team to develop and agree the overall direction and integrity of the project*Provide effective leadership to the project team, ensuring that team members are supported, motivated and developing their skills and experience*Ensure all stakeholders including client, business management, users, staff, operational and engineers, IT, Security (as required) fully understand the objectives and scope of the project and are clear in their expectations of the project*Effectively estimate and monitor project tasks, costs, time scales, resource requirements and finances for the successful completion of the project. Appropriate intervention and management where these deviate from agreed tolerances complying with governance,business sanctioning authorities and finance procedures as required*Management of effective change control procedures ensuring formal approval for any changes to the approved scope and documented*Manage the production of the required deliverables of the project and ensuring appropriate review process is in place and approvals are obtained*Prepare and maintain project, stage, exception and quality plans and track activities against these plans. Provide regular and accurate reports to the Programme Board as required*Identify, assess and manage the risks, assumptions, issues and decisions (RAID) to the success of the project, including developing effective mitigation where required*Ensure the project is formally closed and documented. Lessons learnt are captured and the projects status and reports are updated*Manage any handover/transition as required to Business as Usual (BAU) as per the scope/objectives of the projectKnowledge, Experience and Technical Know How*A good extensive knowledge of GT Cyber, the Business, Operations, Engineering and IT drivers for the project*Has proven leadership, stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills*A good track record of delivering complex projects*Understands policies, management structures and reporting procedures for all aspects of the projects environment.QualificationsEssential (at appointment):Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.EssentialDesirable:Relevant industry certification (e.g. Prince 2) desirable, Agile PM certification.Job DimensionsNumber of Direct/Indirect ReportsDependent upon Project/sBudgetDependent upon Project/s.
