Job Description

Role Title: Cost EstimatorLocation: Hybrid/ Warwick (on-site 2 days per week)Duration: Initial 6 MonthsDay Rate: Circa* £450 via UmbrellaROLE PURPOSE Our high profile Utilities client are currently in the market for a Cost Estimator to join their Project Team!The key focus is to manage and develop the projects Cost estimate, appropriate level of detail. Accountable for the development of the estimating methodology and defining the associated level of confidence.YOU WILL BECollaborating with the project team to identify the available information and the gaps and define what is needed to improve the quality of the available data for the purpose of producing more robust estimates.THIS WILL INCLUDE

  • Liaising with Project team to establish the project scope.
  • Identifying gaps in the available information that is essential for project cost estimation and risk.
  • Challenge the available detail and obtain the relevant missing information to develop the assumptions.
  • Track progress and manage the relevant governance reviews an sign offs.
  • Collaboration with the wider team to establish the project baseline (scope, programme, cost estimate and contingency)
THE ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Utilities estimating experience
  • Constructability knowledge & some technical experience
  • Ability to interpret technical & cost information
  • Self-starter
