Job Description

Marks Sattin are working in partnership with a global leading Business Services organisation based in Warwickshire to recruit a Commercial Finance Manager. The role is a full time permanent role with a hybrid working model.This is a brand new position to the organisation following significant growth across the organisation, and further growth is expected over the next 12 months!The Commercial Finance Manager will report to the UK Head of Commercial Finance with a dotted line in to the UK CFO and will be a true business partner liaising with and influencing a variety of stakeholders from Sales, Marketing, Investor Relations andBusiness Intelligence.As a true business partner you will use your commercial analysis, investment appraisal knowledge and financial modelling skills to aid key decision making on potential investments. With this being a true Commercial Business Partnering position there willbe no responsibility for month end accounting duties.The Commercial Finance Manager will be responsible for:

  • Preparing robust financial models for a number of potential investments for new products and services
  • Undertaking Investment Appraisal and Scenario Analysis activities for each investment proposal
  • Preparing business cases for the Senior Management Team
  • Demonstrating commercial acumen, strategy and negotiation skills when liaising with suppliers and other associated business partners
  • Undertaking risk and opportunity assessments for proposed new products and services
  • Business Partnering with senior stakeholders across a variety of business areas, i.e. Sales, Marketing, Investor Relations and Business Intelligence
  • Acting as Advisor to stakeholders and presenting commercial and financial performance reviews of investments undertaken
  • Influencing senior stakeholders where necessary through the use of commercial analysis, models and exceptional communication skills
  • Demonstrating full understanding of principles of investment appraisal required (IRR, NPV, discounted cash flow assessments)
To be considered you must:
  • Be a Qualified Accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Have full understanding of investment appraisal required (IRR, NPV, discounted cash flow assessments)
  • Be able to business partner senior stakeholders across a large and complex organisation
  • Be an advanced excel user with financial modelling capabilities
  • Have excellent communication skills being able to demonstrate gravitas and confidence at all times
