Job Description

Change Lead6 monthsWarwickMy client is an international electricity and gas company and one of the largest investor owned Energy companies in the world. They play a vital role in delivering gas and electricity to many millions of people across Great Britain and North-Eastern US inan efficient, reliable and safe manner.We are looking for a talented individual with a passion for facilitating change to play a key role in our Business Change function. Our client will be recruiting significant numbers of staff, transitioning people and activities from our parent group, launchingnew services, developing new capabilities and managing a significant group of influential stakeholders. Our client require an experienced change lead to ensure that we deliver the changes seamlessly while continually maintaining engagement and drive in ourwhole team in order to achieve our vision.Key Accountabilities

  • Working within the Programme teams to develop the change management approach and future framework for delivery of change.
  • Engaging project leads, stakeholders, sponsors and SMEs with an agreed change approach to support successful delivery.
  • Developing communication and stakeholder plans, training needs analysis and change impact assessments and readiness.
  • Providing a view of the level and quality of change activities through governance controls.
  • Developing the change capability across our business.
  • Understanding the environment for change and impact on our teams and people
  • Working with the business to ensure that People impacts are understood, embedded and sustained.
  • Helping teams and individuals prepare their teams for change.
  • Advising senior stakeholders on risks and mitigations to influence project go-no/go decisions.
  • Building a wider business capability for managing and receiving change.
  • Providing coaching and support to line managers, senior stakeholders and impacted teams on their role in leading and embedding change.
Knowledge and experience required
  • Experience of large programmes
  • Experience of building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Detailed understanding of Business Change Management principles, including effective communications, business engagement and stakeholder management
  • Self-starter - able to organise and efficiently plan time in a fast-moving environment
  • Relevant subject matter expertise of the future challenges in electricity system operation
  • Ability to communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders
  • Understanding of the energy sector - in terms of structure, regulatory environment and the short and long-term issues affecting the industry
  • Able to co-ordinate change activities across multiple workstreams and business teams
