Job Description

RSR Police is a market leading recruitment business dedicated to supplying experienced practitioners on a temporary, contractual or permanent basis to the Law Enforcement, Cyber Security, Offender Management and Regulatory Services talent markets.RSR are currently recruiting on behalf of our policing client based in Warwickshire for an Audio Typist to provide a typing service to include the preparation of full transcripts and summaries of digitally recorded interviews and copy typing of relevantstatements to support evidential case file preparation.This is a full time, temporary role for up to 6 months and offers a salary of £20,118 to £21,399.Main Duties:

  • Prepare full transcript and summaries of multi-media recorded interviews, for inclusion in prosecution and pre-charge files.
  • Prepare typed evidential documents in readiness for prosecution.
  • Retrieve all multi-media evidential related items required for transcript.
  • Update relevant IT systems in relation to multi-media ensuring accurate record of location of multi-media evidence.
  • Undertake other duties commensurate with the nature, level of responsibility and grading of this post, as required.
Essential Requirements:
  • 5 A - C grade GCSEs (including English language) or equivalent.
  • Competent in the use of IT including Microsoft packages.
  • Ability to type 50 wpm (to be tested at interview)
  • Ability to summarise information accurately, ensuring inclusion of all salient points.
  • Proven audio typing skills.
  • Capable of working under pressure, managing a high workload.
  • Material presented for typing is often of a distressing nature.
