Job Description

Our well-established client offers Environmental Contracting services to clients across the UK. Due to continuous workload demand, the business is looking to recruit an Assistant Project Manager to join them on a 6-9 month contract (initially) to help the PM to deliver a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes for their clients.Please note: This is a day rate role which will suit a self employed contractor with a ltd company. Main Duties:

  • Assist in delivering projects under the project managers control and monitoring subsequent performance against this
  • Taking corrective action where appropriate and guidance from Project Manager
  • Assisting in establishing robust processes and procedures to manage the project
  • Consultation and engagement with commercial departments and operational teams
  • Assisting the Project Manager in the maintaining programme control over projects to deliver to time, cost and quality in a safe manner and report on programme progress
  • Collating, formatting, and distributing information to support programme requirements. Cascade to internal and external parties where appropriate
  • Manage teams under their control to produce project deliverables
  • Supporting the Project Manager to facilitate effective resource management across the programme
  • Reporting to Project Manager on all aspects your projects using written reports, Gantt charts and presentations
  • Delivering necessary periodic project reports, to allow senior managers to direct the project appropriately
  • Strong Microsoft projects understanding
  • Personal and Professional Qualities:
  • People Management experience
  • Project Management experience
  • Good construction knowledge
  • Health and Safety training (IOSH, NEBOSH)
  • Full Driving License
  • CSCS card
  • Highly organised with good time management skills
  • Have or Working towards Prince 2 foundation or practitioner
  • Working towards or understanding of CIEEM or CIWEM is highly desirable
