Job Description

Senior Mechanical Engineer £Highly Competitive Plus Benefits Location: Warwick Automotive, Senior, Mechanical, Design, Development, Rotating Parts, Motors, DFM, DFA, Project We are looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Mechanical Engineer to help develop and innovate their product range and support the delivery of strategic projects across all design and engineering in the UK.As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will need to be able to demonstrate experience in delivering projects from a new product development perspective to meet corporate objectives and targets within a highly technical and innovative environment. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Organise and lead mechanical engineers to fulfil numerous orders and projects.
  • Work with Head of Engineering to continue to build and develop mechanical engineering team to fulfil company’s strategic road map.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to other mechanical engineers
  • Ensure products are developed to achieve compliance with automotive requirements.
  • Provide technical liaison and support for customers.
  • Participate in the creation of functional specifications, DVP, FMEA.
  • Review and sign off reports, drawings, designs and calculations.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in functionality and manufacture.
    • As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will have the following skills and experience:
  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
  • Proven experience of developing electro-mechanical component components within the automotive sector.
  • Experience of Motor design: Rotor dynamics, balancing, shaft stress analysis, material selection, carbon fibre/ magnet retention
  • Experience of DFM/DFA.
  • Able to enthuse and lead team.
  • Self-starter, able to prioritise and plan effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a creative approach for new ideas.
  • Keen attention to detail.
