Job Description

If you are passionate about business partnering in its truest sense and genuinely making a difference with your professionalism and expertise, then there is no better time to come and join our team where your support will be critical to our NHS colleagues, clients and partners during a time of national crisis.Job purposeWe have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join the NHS working within Arden & Gem CSU and supporting our Coventry and Warwickshire Clinical Commissioning Group client base.You will play a key role in delivering service improvements, engaging with a variety of senior stakeholders to ensure that you are constantly challenging and devising new and improved ways to deliver business improvement and value for money across our designated business groups.Working closely with the Head of Service you will lead a small team of HR Business Partners/Advisors supporting the delivery of the NHS People Strategy and providing a strategic and operational HR provision for defined functions within the organisation. You will business partner with clinical and corporate senior leadership teams and you will be integral to supporting the creation of a positive and inclusive workplace culture. As such, you will have the ability to build strong relationships, coach, influence and persuade positively whilst establishing professional credibility at all levels.You will be responsible for working with the wider HR Team on business strategy, providing insights, guidance and support to stakeholders, HR peers, and the wider business. Key areas of focus will include organisational effectiveness, performance, change management projects including organisational mergers, TUPE, organisational culture and behaviour.What do you need to be successful

  • HR Business Partnering experience within a fast-paced environment
  • Experience of working with business and client stakeholders, within a matrixed organisation, with the ability to lead and positively influence at all levels
  • Have a strong work ethic; honest, straight forward & committed to delivering the highest quality of service.
  • Ideally you will have operated in a multisite HR role
  • Have a detailed understanding of HR best practice, market trends and employment legislation
  • Be able to manage and resolve complex employee relations issues & conduct effective, objective and thorough investigations
  • Managing and delivering complex change/transformation programmes
  • Be a logical thinker who applies good judgement to employee situations
  • Be comfortable with ambiguity and resilient in the face of adversity
  • Demonstrate the ability to motivate others and influence work behaviours
  • You will also be expected to have the following:
  • (MCIPD) CIPD Level 7 qualified or relevant qualification within specialist area
  • Strong generalist background with significant experience as an HR Business Partner
  • Experience of working within the NHS is highly desirable but not essential
  • Robust human resource experience, preferably possessing experience with a diverse client base
  • Be experienced in managing a team of HR professionals
  • This is a permanent post however we would consider applications for a secondment arrangement from NHS colleagues working in similar HR/OD roles in NHS partner organisation (minimum 12 months duration).Due to the current Covid pandemic we are working as an ‘agile’ team remotely from home bases, however the official base will be Westgate House, Warwick, and when we return to standard operations there will be a requirement to work flexibly across our CCG client bases in Coventry, Nuneaton and Warwick, so an ability and willingness to travel is requiredWhat nextIf you have the experience detailed above and would like to apply for this role, please make an application & we will be in touch.For further details / informal visits contact: Justin SirdifieldJob titleHead of HR and OD Business Partners
