Job Description

Role: ER AdvisorSalary: Up to £34,000 plus car allowanceLocation: Warwick and home workingContract: PermanentHours: 37.5 hour full time working week We are supporting our global client who are a market leader in their industry field, to recruit an experienced ER Advisor to join their growing shared service centre. The role will be responsible for taking ownership of employee relations and providing aneffective HR service to all employees across a number of UK locations, supporting several thousand employees. You will be handling a portfolio of complex employment issues and cases, whilst considering the commercial constraints of the business and the legalframework with a view to delivering the best outcomes for both the business and colleague.The successful candidate will be CIPD level 5 qualified with a demonstrable background in a similar HR advisor role that includes experience of managing a high volume of Employee Relations casework. The role is office based 3 days per week and home working2 days per week.Role and responsibilities:

  • As a HR Advisor you will be solely responsible for taking full ownership and providing responsive and compliant advice to employee queries received on an array of matters for a number of UK office locations
  • Support the provision of day-to-day HR case management of serious / complex employment issues whilst considering the commercial constraints of the business and the legal framework with a view to delivering the best outcomes for both the business and colleague
  • You will manage a portfolio of cases including conduct, absence, capability, grievances and disciplinaries.
  • Responsible for management of all aspects of casework such as reviewing documents in preparation for formal hearings and accurately updating case management systems
  • Provide day to day employee relations guide and support for Managers with all aspects of the employee lifecycle to include but not limited to performance, absenteeism, disciplinary, grievance and occupational health
  • Work closely across the shared service, site HR Business Partners and other operating companies to develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure a unified HR service for all
  • Assess and communicate any risks and/or costs to the business in relations to Employee Relations issues
  • Assist the HR Advisor Team Leader and site HR Business Partners to develop and implement HR initiatives, policies and procedures
  • Support with leading, note taking and organising meetings relating to all investigations, disciplinaries or grievances etc with adhoc need to attend UK locations for such meetings
  • Any other HR related tasks or projects as required by the business or Head of HR
Skills and experience required:
  • Proven work history working as a HR Advisor level focussing on ER is essential
  • CIPD level 5 or equivalent qualifications is essential
  • High levels of competency and understanding of employment law essential
  • Experience working within a large organisational or shared service function is advantageous
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong commercial acumen with ability to assess business risk
  • Process driven with a focus on providing a best-in-class HR service
