Iress is one of Australia’s largest technology companies and employs more than 1,900 people across Australia, United Kingdom, South Africa, Canada, New Zealand and AsiaThe roleAs a Business Development Manager working within our Retail Wealth team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth for the division through face to face solution sales of our key Wealth products. Working closely with the wider team, you will support Senior Business Development Executives in new business activities and tenders as well as having the confidence and autonomy to work independently, building your own client base, attending industry events and becoming an SME for Iress Wealth product suite, to position us as an essential partner to our clients. As well as driving new business, you will contribute to the marketing strategy to ensure the generation of lead flow, self-generating where necessary. To be successful in this role you will need to build and maintain a solid understanding of our products, as well as keeping abreast of industry trends, using this knowledge to successfully position us as a market leader to potential clients.What you will be doing

  • Driving revenue growth for the Wealth division through face to face solution sales
  • Articulate and demonstrate Iress’ products to prospective clients (primarily Xplan and AO)
  • Participate in industry and business development events, positioning Iress as a market leader through a thorough understanding of our Wealth products and where we can add value
  • Supporting the wider team including Senior BDM’s with new business tenders
  • Contributing to the marketing strategy to ensure the generation of lead flow
  • What you will need
  • Strong sales background with good experience of solution/software sales
  • Financial services experience, ideally within retail wealth but open to other areas of financial services
  • Driven and self motivated, ability to successfully manage own time and client base and work to deadlines to achieve targets
  • An enthusiasm and interest in becoming an SME in Iress products alongside a detailed knowledge of key drivers for financial services companies with a focus on technology
  • Excellent communication skills, someone who can consult and partner with clients to maximise revenue opportunities whilst providing outstanding service
  • Confident and able to present and demo software to clients
