We run our business by these values and they are reflected in all of our roles.Job purpose:Working out of our Warrington Hub, the role of our Transport Supervisor is to assist in the management and performance of the shift operation, covering all days of the week within rota patterns.About the Role:You’ll be joining a team of Transport Shift Supervisors who are responsible for managing your shift of Drivers You will be responsible for motivating your staff, problem solving on a day to day basis and ensuring that the transport operation runs smoothly across your shift and you provide a detailed hand over to your Shift Manager and fellow Supervisors. This is a 4 on 4 off role and will flip between day and night shifts.As our Transport Shift Supervisor, youll report in to the Transport Manager and you will be pivotal in providing leadership and direction to your shift of Drivers. Some of your responsibilities will be to brief and debrief drivers to ensure that all instructions for their allocated runs are understood and actioned; whilst working and partnering with external and internal clients regarding collections and deliveries. Revise driver log sheets with the drivers, ensuring that defects raised during vehicle checks are complete and all accidents/damage reported daily.You will need experience of collating reports on Driver information including Digi tachographs, Health & Safety for site and for Drivers. Experience of route optimisation and problem solving would be useful as our Transport Shift Supervisor. Ideally you will also have your CPC as well.Our Transport Shift Supervisor job is for someone who understands how to motivate staff and is able to efficiently prioritise pressing needs, where there isn’t an obvious solution. Lateral and original thinking would be a benefit as would logistics experience and having worked in a busy Transport office.We understand that this position is not an easy job, it’s a lot of responsibility but should you believe you have the experience we want to hear from you.Benefits:
