Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Training Support Officer at Warrington Council. This is a full-time temporary role for the next 2 - 3 months, with the possibility of extension.What is the roleWarrington Council are looking a Training Support Officer to support the Learning and Development team in the delivery of our blended learning training programme, in particular the implementation of a new Learning Management System (LMS).What are your responsibilities

  • Support the development of a new LMS platform.
  • Uploading mandated and non-mandated e-learn training from a portfolio of pre-designed training material.
  • Update the generic training as appropriate based on the feedback from corporate course sponsors.
  • To support the establishment of an organisational framework within the system including appropriate levels of permission for managers.
  • Populate the system with face-to-face training events for staff to book on to.
  • Monitor mandated training compliance and support the production of management information reports from the system.
  • Support the roll out programme across the organisation including producing training guides for managers and staff.
  • Respond to queries about the new system relating to access and navigation.
What skills do you Need
  • Must have previous Training Support Officer / Strong Administration experience, with either a Learning and Development background or have a keen interest in L & D
  • Excellent people skills, as you will be speaking to service users, and other members of staff including managers.
  • Strong IT skills, as you will be using internal systems as well as Microsoft packages including Word and excel.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
