Job Description

Test Framework Analyst£50,000Warrington (fully remote)ShortList Recruitment are working with a leading software house based in Warrington who are recruiting for an Test Framework Analystto join their growing team on a fully remote basis.The Test Framework Analyst will be responsible for the support and maintenance of automated test frameworks and the development of automated tests (in a .NET C# environment using Selenium Webdriver).The successful candidate will be a strong team player who enjoys technical challenges within a fast-paced environment, applies sound judgment and enjoys working both individually and as part of a team. The candidate will have a strong desire to develop testautomation skills and, ideally, will have some awareness of web-based or desktop automation toolsets.Preferred skills for the Test Framework Analyst:

  • Collaboration with QA, development and product teams in defining and understanding requirements and subsequent test implementation
  • Experience building automated tests utilising a range of toolsets for both desktop and web based solutions
  • Experience designing tests using Selenium in a BDD context
  • Strong understanding of the concepts of a Page Object Model framework
  • Experience in extracting test scenarios, building these out into positive and negative test cases
  • Passion and drive to develop skills with test automation toolsets and processes
  • Ability to understand, define and communicate requirements for automated test environments and configuration
  • Ability to review and analyse automated test results, investigate failures and report defects
  • Analyse test coverage, identify gaps with potential for automation and implement testing
  • Working in collaboration with a DevOps function
Good to have:
  • BS/BA degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline
  • Defect identification and reporting experience
  • Software testing certification e.g. ISTQB or equivalent
  • SQL database and query experience
  • Experience designing automated testing for APIs
  • Experience with Object Orientated Programming in test frameworks, ideally .NET (C#)
  • Strong background around agile testing concepts and approach
  • Ability to identify process enhancements and support implementation
  • Experience working with Kanban/scrum agile methodologies
  • Background working with cloud technologies and virtualisation
  • Experience working with de-centralised source control repositories
