Job Description

A unique full time position for a Technical Assurance & Safety Manager has arisen within a public sector organisation with a hybrid and flexible working pattern.Client DetailsThe client is responsible for the safe transportation of nuclear waste across the UK via rail/shipping in nuclear flasks. You will live in working distance of one of the following locations and work on a hybrid basis (attend the office/site 2 days per week).Site locations: Crewe, Warrington, Carlisle, York, Rugby, Motherwell.DescriptionThis is a rewarding career working for an organisation who solve some of the most exciting and complex UK and international challenges. Work with Subject Matter Experts in the industry & gain exposure to numerous Nuclear Energy, Transport & Public Sectororganisations.You will play a key role in the development and supporting of technical procedures which are compliant to industry standards, stakeholder, and customer requirements. This will be achieved through conducting technical assurance through health, safety andquality checks, as well as delivering training to departments on technical awareness in order to promote a positive technical assurance culture.Emphasis for this role will be support the wider Technical Assurance Team with skills in Nuclear, Loading, Shipping and Rail operations: a background in one would be desirable or a technical background with a willingness to learn. An essential part of therole is, promoting a culture of technical compliance in the workplace and performing regular detailed inspections and audits across the organisation and its supply chain.ProfileYou will have experience auditing for multiple businesses.HNC in appropriate technical qualification.
