Specialist Clinical Pharmacist (Rotational / Emergency admissions) Do you want to work in a pharmacy department that is at the heart of the Trusts programme to move forward; and transform itself using technology and new ways of working to deliver medicines optimisationOur Trust is investing in additional pharmacy staffing to support our 7 day admissions serviceWe are looking for enthusiastic and friendly people to become part of our team.These posts are suitable for dedicated and enthusiastic pharmacists with clinical pharmacy experience and who have completed the first year of their diploma.Our band 7 programme is rotational, however if you have a preference to work in emergency admissions this will be accommodated where possible.We aim to provide specialist rotations with additional areas of learning that have been identified by our band 7’s to improve the experience of our staff. The rotations run for 6 months and cover the following areas:• Admissions + Endocrinology• Respiratory medicine• Cardiology and clinical trials• Specialist Surgery with work around HIV• Gastroenterology with some Medicines Management exposure• Elective orthopedics and Haematology• ICU• Women’s and Children’s HealthThe Pharmacy department operates a 7 day admissions serviceAs well as the rotational programme we are also supporting the development of prescribing pharmacists within our team.Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust manages two major hospital sites - Warrington Hospital and Halton General Hospital. We also provide services at the Cheshire and Merseyside Treatment Centre on the Halton site. As a department we cover both sites of the Trust.
