Job Description

Solutions Architects are sought for a GREENFIELD site, with lots of opportunity to influence solutions selection, loads of opportunities to progress / lateral moves into Enterprise roles and lots of training and development in general.Up to £73,676Hybrid - Likely requirement to travel to site 2x per month.(N>B> You will require to pass SC clearance if successful)Client DetailsOur client, a public sector organisation is seeking Solutions Architects for a GREENFIELD site, with lots of opportunity to influence solutions selection, loads of opportunity to progress / lateral moves into Enterprise roles and loads of training and developmentin general.Brand-new strategy being developed.*** You will need to be eligible for UK Security Clearance when checked (SC) which requires a UK residency of 5 years minimum***Hybrid - Likely requirement to travel to site - 2x per month.Description

  • Assimilating and understanding business requirements, which are the available IT components and designing tech solutions for the business.
  • Ensuring that the tech solutions align with the IT strategy and technology direction of travel.
  • Pragmatic, open candidates who are open to learning new things
  • Facilitating workshops, eliciting business and technical requirements, and creating business process maps and user stories.
  • Ability to develop communications which adequately describe proof-of-concept subjects to senior stakeholders.
  • Solutions assessments as supported by the Head of Architecture.
  • Production of high-level blueprints, ability to effectively communicate around these to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analysis of risks and impacts of tech solutions, communication to the business thereof.
Profile
  • Broad understanding of a wide range of IT across multiple domains - Business systems & applications, data, infrastructure, cyber / security
  • Capable of working within an architecture practice - Even at a good level as a Business Analyst / Solutions Architect / related role - Developing an enterprise-level solution, and has delivered such.
  • Able to produce high-quality, illustrative documentation and visual design aids.
  • Pragmatic in approach; actively enjoys a combination of Business Analysis, Technical Leadership, Research, Development, designing solutions - Most or all of the above.
  • Understanding of Azure Cloud, MS 365, other SaaS solutions
  • Experience of on-premise, private and public cloud (ideally).
Job OfferLOADS off opportunity for progression and getting exposure to different disciplines / technologies if you do not already possess them.(e.g.) Azure cloud, SDWAN, Cloud SaaS ERP implementation, Oracle P6 Primavera project tools implementation, etc.Lots of opportunities for training and development.Hybrid working (circa 2x per month on-site, ad-hoc as required).EXCELLENT PENSION AND BENEFITS.Salary up to £73,676
