Job Description

Service Desk Analyst - 1st Line - St Helens - £18k - £23k paOur IT solutions client based in St Helens is looking to expand its IT Service Desk and is looking for a 1st Line Service Desk Analyst to join their team.You will be responsible for :

  • 1st line technical support via service desk.
  • o Resolve customer issues within service level guidelines (SLA).o Gather relevant information from initial call/contact to ensure most efficient solution.o Manage internal escalations in a timely manner.
  • You must be willing to be involved with projects at customer sites when asked (for development).
  • Have an understanding of how customer back-ups work along with back up strategies.
  • It is expected that you will have between 12 and 18 months 1st line technical support experience within a dynamic customer focused environment. You will also have experience of a majority of the following -
  • Office 365 (Understanding and Administration)
  • Windows Server Technologies - 2008 / 2012 essential. 2016 desirable
  • Understanding and Administration of Exchange 365, Exchange Server 2013 / 2016
  • VMware and Hyper-V - (Understanding /Administration)
  • Backup Technologies - Veeam, Datto Backup & Recovery
  • Hardware Experience - HP, Dell, NAS
  • Windows Desktop - 7, 10
  • Networking Experience - WAN, LAN, iSCSI, NAT, VPN, RDP
  • Building and configuring server hardware
  • Experience of using Solarwinds
  • Industry relevant qualifications (e.g. Microsoft, VMware, Veeam)
  • Understanding of ITIL Framework
  • Managed Service Provider experience would be an advantage but not essential.
