Job Description

Senior Piping Designer, Warrington, £24.38 per hour (PAYE Inside IR35) 1 year contractOur client, a nuclear engineering company based in Warrington are seeking an experienced Piping Designer for a long contract.This role will involve providing design solutions for the nuclear industry through the production of:

  • Piping General Arrangement Drawings.
  • Piping Isometric Drawings.
  • Pipe Support Detail Fabrication Drawings.
  • Pipe Support Location Drawings.
    • For this role you will need the following skills and experience;
  • Minimum of 5 years recent experience of producing mechanical Piping design outputs.
  • AutoCAD proficient in both Model Space and Paper Space including isometric views
  • Has a minimum of 2 to 3 years experience of producing designs using plant 3D designing plant services, producing isometric details has an understanding of the BIM process.
  • Able to provide fit for purpose and cost effective design / documentation outputs to timescales and budgets, ensuring minimum rework following checking.
  • With guidance, can provide material and hardware selection to suit the design criteria.
    • Candidates ideally will understand the general methodology for nuclear engineering design and can undertake self-checking of their detail drawings prior to issuing them for formal checking.Understand international piping standards e.g. ASME B31.3.Has good knowledge of fabrication techniques.Our role in supporting diversity and inclusionAs an international workforce business, we are committed to sourcing personnel that reflects the diversity and values of our client base but also that of Orion Group.
