Senior Mechanical Engineer Location: Warrington Competitive SalaryBusiness Unit: Cavendish NuclearREF: SF35615About the role:Here at Cavendish Nuclear, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Warrington with agile working available, to provide support and expertise to our nuclear project portfolio - interested in design focused engineers,particularly with any knowledge of the machinery directive, or experience with design codes for lifting and mechanical handling systems.We are proud to be the UKs leading supplier to the nuclear industry and a growing global force. Coach, mentor and assist others on matters pertainingto their own discipline, developing business awareness, build strong working relationships with stakeholders, work independently with limited technical direction or as part of a small team.You will work on a range of engineering problems involving high levels of complexity & uncertainty. Whilst also providing help and direction to less experienced team members to support both their effective working, and their development.What do I need to do this roleKnowledge, Skills and QualificationsYou will require an engineering degree (or equivalent qualification) in relevant mechanical engineering discipline, with significant demonstrable experienceYou will also ideally require IEng or CEng status, or be actively working towards thisPrior design experience or knowledge of materials / mechanical handling equipment, or machinery directive would be beneficialWe are seeking Mechanical Engineers experienced in Nuclear, or other highly regulated industries e.g. Oil & Gas, Petrochem, Utilities etcWhat else do I need to knowAll applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK and be subject to satisfactory security clearance which includes 3 years reference checks.
