Job Description

Resident Technical Support Engineer - WarringtonIRC are currently working on behalf of a Managed Service Client, we currently have an opportunity for an experienced Engineer to fill the role of Resident Technical Support Engineer, that forms part of an onsite engineering team supporting an Avaya ContactCentre environment.In this position, the successful applicant will be responsible for providing onsite support to 4-5 days per week with a prestigious client and will have access to in house and professional training with continued personal development by way of formal accreditationsto stay in line with manufacturer requirements.If you are an engineer with a good working knowledge & experience of SIP, IP Networking with & connectivity to IP telephony systems and can troubleshoot using tools such as Wireshark we’d be interested to hear from you.Role & Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the client’s configuration & conducting MACDs
  • Maintaining documentation to include risk, patch & release management, ensuring that is current and accurate.
  • Managing your assigned tickets at all stages of the incident or service request. Communicating both internally and with the client or 3rd parties tickets are resolved within SLA’s.
  • Managing escalation conduit into the manufacturer for the Avaya product portfolio.
  • Continued personal development by way of furthering accreditation to stay in line with manufacturer requirements.
  • Perform regular engineering maintenance tasks, daily health checks for the systems and services. Reviewing monitoring and alerts using monitoring tools and systems.
  • Patching, updating or reconfiguration of systems as required in or out of hours.
Skills & Experience
  • Good knowledge of ITIL practices
  • Working knowledge of SIP & being able to troubleshoot using tools such as Wireshark
  • IP Networking experience with LAN, WAN and VLANS and connectivity to IP telephony systems
  • Virtual Environments such as VMware
Experience with Avaya Systems including Avaya Aura Communication Manager and Adjunct products including WFO, SBC’s, AACC, AAEP and POM would be desirable however cross training can be provided.For more information and a full hob spec, please get in touch or send an up to date CV.
