Job Description

Position:Reablement Support WorkerLocation:WarringtonSalary:£12.07 per hourRequirements:Must be a car driver with access to your own vehicleAbout Us:At Warrington Borough Council, we are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of our community members. We are currently seeking caring and compassionate individuals to join our team as Reablement Support Workers. Ifyou have a genuine desire to help people and promote their independence, this role could be perfect for you.Responsibilities:

  1. Personal Care:Support and enable service users with personal care, including bathing/showering where appropriate (ensuring aids/adaptations are in place as required) and assisting with general activities of daily living.
  2. Needs Support:Enable and support service users with their needs, including food preparation, dressing, and using aids and adaptations to promote independence.
  3. Building Confidence:Work with service users to build confidence and continue supportive programs in the community and other settings as needed.
  4. Procedures and Skills:Assist with procedures such as continence management, medication administration/recording, and other daily living skills as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • A caring nature and strong values of treating people with dignity and respect.
  • Basic reading and writing skills.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Additional Information:
  • Uniform and PPE will be provided.
  • Full induction covering policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Moving and handling training required.
  • Split shifts may be available based on service needs.
  • Breaks are unpaid.
  • Education/Qualifications:Hold a current First Aid Certificate.
  • Commitment:Committed to continuous professional development and training, including a compulsory Induction Programme of up to 2 weeks.
Working Hours:
  • Monday to Friday
  • Between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM
  • Between 3:00 PM and 11:00 PM (with unpaid breaks)
