Job Description

The main purpose of this role is to support the Production Manager in overseeing the day to day running of the production facility and ensure materials are ordered in a timely manner to enable the execution of the production plans and successful deliveryto our customers.Client DetailsThe business are a manufacturer of high quality commercial soft seating and ancillary products, operating from a single site in Warrington, Cheshire. The companys recent and future expansion plans have resulted in the need to recruit an experienced ProductionPlanner from a similar industry.DescriptionKey responsibilities for the Production Planner are:

  • Coordinate the production work flow
  • Plan and prioritise operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
  • Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand
  • Assign workers and other staff to particular production operations
  • Schedule shift according to production needs
  • Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget
  • Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
  • Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.)
  • Prepare and submit status and performance reports
ProfileThe successful Production Planner will have:
  • 2 years of experience in an upholstery OR in a similar environment
  • Experience of working with ERP/MRP systems
  • Good Excel skills
  • Strong organisational & communication skills
  • Confident in analysing data and producing reports
Job OfferOn offer for the successful candidate is:
  • £30,000 per annum
  • Working hours Mon-Thurs 7.30am-4.15pm, Friday 7am-2.15pm
  • Parking on site in Warrington
