As a Private Client Legal Assistant, you will provideinvaluable support to our lawyers, assisting in handling probate and wills matters for our esteemed private clients.Responsibilities:

  • Aid attorneys in preparing and managing probate and wills cases.
  • Draft legal documents, including wills, powers of attorney, and probate applications.
  • Conduct initial client interviews and gather necessary information.
  • Maintain accurate client files and efficiently manage case management systems.
  • Liaise with clients, court officials, and other relevant parties to ensure smooth case progress.
  • Coordinate appointments, meetings, and court appearances.
  • Conduct legal research on probate and wills-related topics.
  • Handle administrative tasks, such as document preparation, file organization, and data entry.
  • Provide exceptional client service, promptly addressing inquiries and concerns.
  • Stay updated with changes in legislation and legal practices regarding private client matters.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, preferably in private client work focusing on probate and wills.
  • Strong knowledge of probate and wills processes and procedures.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to maintain client confidentiality and demonstrate integrity.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work independently.
  • A relevant legal qualification or studying towards one would be advantageous.
