Principal Process EngineerCompetitive Salary on Offer DOE + BenefitsNorth West UK + Global TravelPrincipal Process Engineer required for a global leader at the forefront of renewable energy technology within the biofuel and chemical industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company with exciting plans to open one of the largest process plantsacross the globe which you will play an integral role in overseeing the process.To apply for this role you will hold a good degree in chemical or mechanical engineering (or equivalent) and will have extensive experience of working within the chemical industry or oil and gas. You will hold a track record of delivering projects, from designthrough to commissioning, and achieving results through managing technical service providers and working within given timescales. The role requires a flexible approach to work and you will need to be prepared to travel globally when required. Experience ofsite work is a must for this position. You will have not just worked in consulting engineering but been employed at times directly within the chemical or oil and gas industry.The successful candidate will work closely with the Technical Director (TD) to organise all aspects of the project through the phases of design, construction, to operation. You will play a key role in liaising with suppliers and overcoming any potential issuesthat may arise as well as managing the review of proposals, the research of material fluid (including sample testing) and the completion of pressure relief calculations. The completion of calculations can be outsourced, however, it will be the responsibilityof the successful candidate to supervise this.The successful engineer will be predominantly working within the North West of the UK and can mainly work remotely. There will be weekly meetings with the TD. The company has new plants to build in the Netherlands and Germany and you can expect to spend approximately25% of your time in continental Europe within the first year. This is likely to increase to around 30-40% following this once construction begins and so a flexible approach to travel is essential. The company has an existing, plant operating in Poland whereyou can expect to spend time initially to become familiar with the technology and debug any technical issues before the development of the larger plant.This is a great opportunity to become a part of a company working on highly advanced technology.
