Principal Process EngineerCompetitive Salary on Offer DOE + BenefitsNorth West UK + Global TravelPrincipal Process Engineer required for a global leader at the forefront of renewable energy technology within the biofuel and chemical industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an emerging company with exciting plans to open one of the largest process plants across the globe which you will play an integral role in overseeing design and construction .To apply for this role you will hold a degree in chemical or mechanical engineering (or equivalent) and will have experience of working within the chemical industry or oil and gas. You will hold a track record of delivering projects, from design through to commissioning, and achieving results through managing technical service providers and working within given timescales. You will need to back your own judgement and take responsibility. You will need to be comfortable managing a very broad range of engineering disciplines. The role requires a flexible approach to work and you will need to be prepared to travel within Europe when required. Experience of site work is a must for this position.The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Technical Offer (CTO) to organise all aspects of the project through the phases of design, construction, to operation. You will play a key role in liaising with suppliers and overcoming any potential issues that may arise as well as managing the review of proposals.The successful engineer will be predominantly working within the North West of the UK and can mainly work remotely. There will be weekly meetings with the CTO. The new plant is to be built in the Netherlands where you can expect to spend approximately 25% of your time within the first year. This is likely to increase to around 30-40% following this once construction begins and so a flexible approach to travel is essential. The company have an existing, smaller plant already set up that is based in Poland where you can expect to spend time initially to become familiar with the new technology and debug any technical issues before the development of the larger plant.This is a great opportunity to become a part of a company working on highly advanced technology.
