Plant Manager Preston £40,000 - £45,000 + Profit Share Scheme + Performance Bonus + Pension + Holidays + Progression Do you come from a manufacturing or industrial background where you have held supervisory or management responsibilities for operations and maintenance Are you looking to join a growing business that has outcompeted major UK corporates to secure significant contracts, where you can leave your mark on one of their key sites by taking full responsibility for a production plant This well-established and long-running business specialises in the production of biomass for use particularly in the agricultural sector. In line with their recent reorganisation they are looking for an experienced Plant/Operations/Production Manager to jointhe business and drive positive improvements at one of their main sites. In this role you will be responsible for managing teams of shift workers and overseeing the reliable, efficient and safe production that takes place on site. This will involve duties such as personnel development, maintenance management and strategy implementationto achieve strong KPIs. The ideal candidate will come from a heavy industrial, waste, agricultural or similar background and will hold a qualification in an engineering discipline. They will need to be comfortable with overseeing the operations and maintenance activities that takeplace on a production site and will be able to work with little oversight from upper management. The role: * Managing operations and maintenance activities on site * Ensuring maximum plant availability through high maintenance standards * Implementing maintenance & optimisation strategies to improve plant performance and efficiency * Supporting personnel development across teams of shift workers * Accurately recording and presenting data to upper management e.g issues, training, ideas The person * Qualified or time-served in an engineering discipline * Background in a heavy industrial, waste, agricultural or similar environment * Competent with managing both maintenance and operations teams * Proven track record of improving KPIs and training/developing personnel * Full UK driving license This vacancy is being advertised by Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd.
