Job Description

Parts AuthorUp to £21/ph - Inside IR35Birchwood, Warrington12 month contractCan you offer a knowledge of or interest in diesel engines, automotive parts or agricultural machineryInterested in joining a company offering helpful training, relatable mentors, global experience, sustainable green initiatives, work-life balance and the growth opportunities you expect with a Fortune 100 companyThis Parts Author role will see you being r esponsible for interpreting and transforming upstream engineering / technical information and creating master service parts information for the group network and key OEM customers. You will also;

  • Transform 3D Models into 2D Illustrations using illustration software (Iso-Draw) in support of our parts lists service information
  • Be responsible for ensuring the Aftermarket ERP system is aligned to the engineering systems, supporting appropriate procurement and parts stocking
  • Liaise closely with engineering, marketing and commercial teams to provide service information support
In addition to experience in using SAP ERP systems and products such as MS Office, Windchill or IsoDraw, the ideal Parts Author candidate will also offer;
  • The ability to interpret basic technical data
  • Strong analytical skills: large proportion of time will be spent transforming engineering / technical data into service information
  • Previous experience managing Bills of Material within a BOM/parts listing application
  • The ability to recognise engine spare parts/components by description, drawing or shape
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to comfortably work with a variety of people across an organisation
  • Confidence to contribute to team success by delivering key business metrics
  • Ability to independently plan, organise and prioritise workload
  • A keen eye for detail with excellent quality and work standards
