Job Description

My client based in Warrington are currently recruiting for a Credit Controller to join this growing business on a full time, permanent basis. The role offers an excellent starting salary and great company benefits. The Credit Manager is looking for someone who has 2 years+ in a credit controller role.This role will report into the Credit Control Manager and will be heavily based around credit control, although there will be a variation of finance related tasks and duties to support the team.Salary and other benefits

Daily Duties
  • Client base of around 300 customers with total accounts over 1500
  • Credit Control - ensuring customers pay on time and chasing any overdue invoices
  • Bank reconciliations - allocate and bank all means of payment received into the business on a regular basis.
  • Handling queries on invoices and statements.
  • Assisting with credit note process and query resolution
  • Working closely with Credit Control Manager to reduce company DSO and Aged Debt
  • To ensure compliance with the company credit policy and business processes
  • To review financial information, credit reports, customer pay history, etc.
  • Checking customers credit and approving or denying applications based on company standards and requirements
  • Setting up credit terms and conditions for new customers via Credit Insurance
  • To maintain customer master data. Including credit limits.
  • Improving and implementing debt collection processes when there are any overdue invoices or payments, and initiate legal procedures if necessary
  • Ad hoc projects
Person SpecificationMinimum 2yrs Credit Control experience. The ideal candidate will understand the high impact of Credit Control and the following impact on commercial sales, profit and customer relationship scale and complexity effectively, and not least how to drive sustainableresults and improvements.
