Avanti Recruitment is currently working with a company who specialize in real word traffic data and analytics based in Manchester who are recruiting for a Java Developer. You will be working on a project which will utilize AI to provide accurate real-time data to drivers. This will help achieve less congestion and provide more accurate ETAs. You will be working on a platform which is utilizing a huge, 20 billion points perday, amount of real-time and historical data.On a daily basis you will find yourself working within a small Agile team building and testing scalable, reliable data driven systems. You will be involved in working across the full software development life-cycle and will be playing an integral role withinthe team. You will help develop new features and components and will work closely with other teams and the lead developer to deploy and monitor the systems. This role will also allow you the opportunity to help mentor more junior members of the team.Experience needed: - Strong Java Development Experience - REST APIs - Microservices experiences - Strong DB Skills / SQL - CI/CD Desirable: - Kafka / Hadoop / Spark - Big Data - Kubernetes / Docker - AWS - Elastic Beanstalk - Previous mentorship experienceSalary and Benefits: Salary is up to £50,000 Bonus 15% Pension 10% from company if you put in 7.5% otherwise will match 25 Days holiday + Bank Holiday Flexi working hours Hybrid Working (2 days in office per week)If you would like to be considered for this role then click Apply Now!
