Job Description

About Our ClientThe DFS Group (DFS, Sofology, and SoDelCo) are the largest Sofa Retailer on the market.Job DescriptionThe successful Internal Auditors responsibilities include being able to;The candidate would be able to offer support to the Group Audit & Risk Team by being able to:

  • Verifies figures, documents, and account details for auditing, such as cash flow data, income statements, and tax returns.
  • Provide information by collecting, analysing, and summarising data and trends.
  • Research financial documents in preparation for the auditing process.
  • Plans financial audits from start to finish.
  • Assesses risks and internal controls by identifying areas of non-compliance.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills as they will be working closely with risk owners and managers of varying levels across all business areas, including the Group Leadership teams, Executive Board members and Audit Committee members.
  • Be able to act on their own initiative, operate and work collaboratively with team members and key stakeholders, including Senior Management.
  • Have a logical/detailed approach, with an ability to see tasks through to a conclusion and work to targets/measures.
  • Have excellent interpersonal & communication skills, including good presentation & report-writing skills.
  • Have strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity, meticulous attention to detail, diligence and thoroughness.
The Successful ApplicantThe successful candidate should have;
  • Experience of delivering Internal Audits within a business or for an Accountancy Practice,
  • Experience of running audits autonomously,
  • Ideally be working towards an Audit relevant qualification (IIA / ACA / CIMA / CIA) however this is not essential.
Whats on OfferThe successful Internal Auditor will receive;
  • Salary from £30,000 - £33,000
  • Full-Time Permanent Role
  • 5hrs Monday - Friday/ As and when the business requires
