And, alongside world-leading scientists and technologists, shapeprojects that improve lives, and daily life, in the UK and far beyond.Put simply, come and discover the impact you can make when youre equipped, encouraged and inspired to perform to your very best.The Metrology and Technical Engineering Group (MMTE) is part of the Engineering Technology Centre (ETC) within the Technology Department at STFCs Daresbury Laboratory are currently looking for an Integration Engineer to join our knowledgeable team workingin an excellent environment with access to first class training and an excellent work life balance.Responsibilities will include leading an engineering project team to understand and relay requirements, development of procedures, working closely with the Quality Control Engineer for the procurement, assembly and testing of all equipment required in theconstruction of SRF cryomodules. It is expected that the post-holder will agree these management arrangements with our In-Kind partner (Fermilab) and with the STFCs PIP-II project team.About youYou will have a broad understanding of engineering and hands-on experience. Knowledge/transferable skills in some specific areas of particle accelerator type technologies including: vacuum technology, cryogenics and clean room/low particulate control technologywould be advantageous but not essential.Essential

  • A strong hands-on technical engineering background (S&I)
  • Able to lead and manage Work Packages with multi-function teams to design, specify, deliver, maintain, and improve installation and assembly processes. (S&I)
  • A proactive project management style: planning, managing risks before they materialise, adapting and responding to changing circumstances and situations. (S&I)
  • Able to develop & maintain process documentation to achieve the required standards, specifications & targets. (I)
  • Project Management to ensure assembly and installation processes are implemented within specified timeframes and deliver planned targets (I)
  • Communication to provide information on planned changes, status reports, specifications & solutions (S&I)
