Hydraulic Engineer6 Month Contract - Inside IR35Pay rate: open for discussionLocation: UK wideHybrid working out of your nearest office locationPlease apply for immediate consideration, we are booking interviews for next week! BriefHydraulic Engineer needed for a global engineering organisation who are looking for a Hydraulic Engineer to join them out of one of their UK wide offices, undertaking hydraulic analysis and design of water/wastewater treatment plants and transfer pipelinesfor a variety of UK and International Clients.What the role entails:As Hydraulic Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Undertake Design following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
  • Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
  • Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
  • Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
Experience required for the Hydraulic Engineer position
  • The ideal candidate would be a well-rounded Civil Engineer, Process Engineer or Chemical Engineer technically competent, with exemplary communication skills. This role would support projects in multiple sectors including transportation, energy, and defence.
  • Degree educated in Civil Engineering or similar field
  • Robust knowledge of fluid mechanics theory and how this is applied to design
  • Work well with and form relationships with others, including the client team, other disciplines, and contractors at all levels (junior - senior) inside and outside the business.
  • Flexible attitude to the type of work undertaken, level of responsibility given, and work location.
  • Produce designs following CDM regulations.
  • Working towards becoming Professionally Qualified (CEng, MICE, or equivalent qualification).
Desirable experience
  • HADES Software experience
  • Experience in the use of Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other modelling software.
