Job Description

Head of Cyber Security PresalesQuick Summary:

  • We are looking for a Head of Cyber Security Presales to lead a team of talented presales Consultants and Architects to support multimillion pound bids.
  • Our Head of Cyber Security Presales will help drive growth, empowering the presales function to become a more advisory driven capability.
  • The successful Head of Cyber Security Presales will create a coaching and learning development culture that ensures all members of the team increase their core skills in line with business demand.
  • Please note that this role is not offering sponsorship and requires you to be Security Clearable.

  • Leading from the front on bid response and deal shaping:
    • We are looking for someone who knows how to construct compelling bids and compelling security solutions, and will steer the team down a winning route. The candidate should be comfortable fronting customer dialogue some pitches
  • Developing and shaping a high performing team:
    • Ensure team structure is fit for success, and balances bid response and pro-active presales engagement / solution-shaping activity. Create a coaching and learning development culture that ensures all members of the team increase their core skills in linewith business demand
  • Delivering UK sales targets:
    • Work with the Sales Director to develop and implement an appropriate sector-based sales strategy, and ensure the team is focused and successful in delivering in year sales targets
  • Accelerating portfolio sales & maturity:
    • Ensure team is focused on creating momentum and consistency in primary go-to-market security solutions. Actively work with portfolio function to collaboratively develop portfolio services and associated cost models in line with UK customer demand
  • Managing finance planning, forecasting and recovery:
    • As head of the security pre-sales function you will be responsible for putting in place financial plans, accurate forecasts, and ensuring appropriate utilization/recoveries of the team through bid funding and sector funding models.
  • Manage bid governance and assurance within ECS:
    • Ensure that bids are effectively governed, assured and managed. Liaise with central pre-sales governance, and attend central risk, business and commercial reviews as required (representing ECS).
  • Build strong networks across the business:
    • It is important that pre-sales engages effectively across ECS teams to deliver compelling and appropriate security solutions. It is important that the presales team engages effectively with sector teams and other service lines to ensure appropriatenessof solutions put forward in the context of integrated services
  • Managing strategic vendor relationships:
    • Whilst not a vendor management role, it is important for the head of presales to develop key vendor relationships, and ensure appropriate training of the team, and well as engagement of vendors to support presales and early customer engagement.
Requirements:
  • Selling Cyber Security technology and services to Enterprise customers.
  • Working with C-suite and director-level in Enterprise customers on large transformation projects.
  • Managing and developing technical teams
  • Winning complex bids, through high quality, well-written proposals and client business case creation.
Desirable:
  • Experience in both private and publics sector customer based
  • Writing executive summaries and positioning statements - ability shape compelling stories
  • Involvement in the portfolio development process
  • A good sense of the cyber market and technology/capability landscape
