Job Description

My client is a software development company that is now looking to employ a Senior Full Stack Node.js Developer to be based in their office in Warrington. This is a full-time, permanent role.You will be responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. As a Full Stack Developer, you will be building and styling specific screens/elements of the business applications. You will be working closely with the Design team and Project Managers to ensure the delivery of a performant and visually pleasing application.Role responsibilities:

  • Development of user-facing elements integrating with RESTful APIs developed by backend developers using Node and AdonisJs
  • Writing reusable, testable and efficient code
  • Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability and performant applications
  • Implementation of security and data protection
  • Collaborating with Software Engineering team, QA team and Project Managers in an Agile environment
  • Integration of user-facing elements developed by frontend developers with server-side logic
  • Integration of data storage solutions
  • Mentor junior members of staff to ensure continued growth
    • Essential requirements:
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Web Technologies
  • Strong understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, React, Redux, Webpack, Gulp, Grunt
  • Knowledge of Node.js and frameworks available for it(Express and AdonisJs)
  • Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming
  • Strong understanding of DRY principles and code reuse
  • Strong understanding of writing performant code
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs
  • Experience using databases such as MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB
  • Understanding accessibility and security compliance
  • User authentication and authorisation between multiple systems, servers, and environments
  • Understanding the differences between synchronous and asynchronous requests
  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
  • Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs. desktop, and optimising output to match the specific platform
  • Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Understanding of Agile and Sprint based development
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
