A successful division of a recognised global manufacturing organisation has a new vacancy for a Health & Safety Manager. With proven experience in a health and safety role you will ideally have worked in a manufacturing or engineering environment.Commutable from: Chester, Liverpool, Runcorn, Manchester, Middlewich, Northwich, St Helens, Warrington, Salford, Stockport.Salary: £ 48,000 - £ 58,000 p.a. + car allowance + healthcare +bonus + pensionSuitable for: HSE Officer, H&S Officer, Health and Safety Officer, Health, Safety and Environmental Officer, H&S Advisor, Health and Safety Advisor, HSE Manager, H&S Manager, Health, Safety and Environmental Manager, Health & Safety Manager, HSEEngineer, HSE Engineer, H&S Engineer, H&S, Health and Safety, EHS Manager. The Role Reporting to the General Manager your role will be to develop and implement Health, Safety & Environmental best practice and procedures. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining health and safety requirements to include drafting and implementationof HSE systems policy and procedures.Key responsibilities will include:Ensure health and safety management systems are set up and maintainedProvide advice and guidance on health and safety/environmental subjects to all levels in the organisation.Managing/supporting EHS Coordinator and any contractors on siteManaging EHS budgetMonitor all accidents/dangerous occurrences and environmental incidentsOrganise health and safety/environmental surveys and audits on related subjects.Identify, organise and co-ordinate appropriate health and safety/environmental trainingLead the development and implementation of health and safety/environmental policies and procedures.Develop, lead, manage and assist with the company health and safety/environmental risk assessment programme.Maintain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of current health and safety/environmental legislation and best practice.Act as primary contact with all relevant enforcing authorities.The Person With proven experience in Health & Safety you will have previously worked in manufacturing, engineering environment and be comfortable working in a hands on role. With up to date knowledge of current health and safety practises you will be able to demonstratea high standard of quality and accuracy in day to day activities.
