Job Description

Tradewind are recruiting dance and drama specialists!Are you a dance or drama instructor looking for more workDo you have a degree in Drama, Dance, Theatre or Performing ArtsDo you teach children after school or on weekends and looking for flexible local work between 8.30 and 3.30 pmTradewind is looking for engaging, warm, and personable people who are able to work in Warrington secondary schools. We work with schools across the borough and have a consistent need for qualified and unqualified teachers to cover PE and dance on a flexiblesupply basis.As an agency, we can offer both part-time and full-time work that fits around your schedule, alongside day-to-day work. Whatever suits your availability, needs, and skills - please get in touch!As a Cover Supervisor/Supply Teacher your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking the lead in the absence of the teacher
  • Sole responsibility for teaching and learning
  • Delivering pre-planned lessons
  • Using provided resources to encourage learning
  • Covering a range of subjects including practical PE lessons or drama lessons or dance lessons
  • Managing the behaviour within the classroom or sports hall or drama studio
  • Developing independent study skills and peer learning
  • Pastoral and learning support
  • Managing handover back to the teacher

  • Have a minimum of six weeks experience in the last 3 years of working with groups of children or teenagers
  • A referee Tradewind can contact to take a detailed reference to account for this experience
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
  • Provide a full CV with employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
  • Bachelors degree or similar equivalent qualification
  • Able to get to Warrington by 8.30 with 30 minutes notice.
