Job Description

The Statutory & Regulatory Maintenance Department at United Utilities are looking for a Data Analyst to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company named as one of the Best Places to Work in 2020 by Glassdoor. It is a temporary positionworking 37 hours per week. The role is Hybrid based on-site at United Utilities Lingley Mere Head office in Great Sankey for two days and 3 days at home. Additionally, some travel to local sites may be required.Job PurposeReporting to the Statutory & Regulatory Maintenance Manager you will support the team in the collection of asset maintenance data and information. You will keep reporting data up to date and monitor the outcome is correct.Job Accountabilities

  • Support Regulatory & Statutory Maintenance Team in monitoring activities of contractors carrying out maintenance on specific type of equipment.
  • Collate reports from maintenance contractors.
  • Analyse reports and record actions.
  • Raise actions to rectify defects.
  • File reports in designated libraries to provide data for MI reports.
  • Keep reporting data up to date and monitor the outcome is correct.
  • Monitor the data and information for quality and consistency as well as analysing it for trends and reports
  • Collate the data and transfer it to more visual presentations
Knowledge and Skills
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and MS Share point, basic IT Technical Support.
  • Evidence of strong IT skills and ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interrogate multiple data sources.
  • Willingness to learn new systems/databases.
  • Build a basic understanding of different asset groups to be able to critique existing data.
  • Ability to work under own initiative to establish logical options and select/generate solutions to data issues.
  • Analytic skills with the ability to establish logical connections and identify trends and exceptions.
  • Attention to detail to enable production of accurate information to require quality on a right first time basis.
  • Ability to accurately record, interpret, manipulate and present information.
