Job Description

CQC Registered Service Manager – Extra Care Location: Padgate, WarringtonSalary: £29,718 per annumHours of Work: 37.5 per weekAbout the Company:Are you an experienced Registered Care Manager who has been inspired through the ongoing Pandemic to take on an exciting new challenge and lead a brand new care teamMaking Space Charity have been named as the care provider for Warrington’s new multi-million pound, state of the art extra care housing scheme, Harper’s Green based in Padgate, Warrington.The Scheme includes 97 one and two bed apartments providing independent living for people over the age of 55. The service is due to open end of November 2020.We are looking for a Service Manager to lead and manage this exceptional service, setting and monitoring standards of care and support provided to residents.As an award-winning care provider Making Space is seeking applicants who are able to provide residents with the best possible care. We are looking for people who can demonstrate a natural caring nature, can listen well, communicate compassionately and at all times ensure care provided meets the needs and aspirations of people supported. You will lead a team of support workers who are on hand 24/7 to support residents to live independently, engage with their local community and take part in activities that they enjoy.CQC Registered Service Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead on the successful development of this new service, ensuring it meets the requirement of the service specification and our commissioner expectations.
  • Provide leadership and management for the team and ensure company policies, procedures and processes are implemented.
  • Contribute to panel discussions and assessments of potential tenants with Warrington Borough Council and the housing provider.
  • Work with the housing provider and lead on the transition planning and implementation of new tenants moving into the service.
  • Create an inclusive environment for all tenants including those without care.
  • Work with team members to plan, monitor, review and evaluate work objectives implementing best practice and support provision around falls prevention
  • Establish links with related services in the local area and work with commissioners to provide efficient and equitable services.
    • CQC Registered Service Manager Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards.
  • Evidence of previous CQC Registered management experience working in a relevant care setting with a person-centred approach.
  • Previous experience of running a team of support workers.
  • Demonstrate you are able to develop and maintain constructive relationships with professionals, whilst managing conflicting priorities.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Understand their role and respect service users’ perspectives and choices
  • Take pride in your work, with exceptional attention to detail, whilst being creative, resourceful and the ability to think out of the box
