Job Description

This position is a pivotal role in the Accounting & Finance department, with the main responsibility of managing and controlling costs within the business. Youll report directly into the Financial Controller and work alongside an Accountant.Client DetailsOur client is a world leader in the Industrial / Manufacturing sector, employing over 2000 individuals across the globe.   • Implement cost control measures to ensure operations remain within company budgets.
  • Develop and execute cost reduction strategies for all departments.
  • Monitor and analyse cost data and investigate cost variances.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to forecast future spend.
  • Ensure accurate cost allocation across various projects and departments.
  • Liaise with department managers to formulate budgets.
  • Support internal and external audits as required.
ProfileA successful Cost Controller should have:
  • A relevant CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualification.
  • Costing experience gained within the Industrial / Manufacturing sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.
