Job Description

Contract Manager - Roofing & CladdingJob Title: Contract Manager - Roofing & CladdingIndustry Sector: Commercial Roof & Wall Systems, Roofing Contractor, Slate, Felts, Liquid Systems, Flat Roofing Systems, Single Ply, Industrial Cladding Systems etc.Area to be covered: North WestRemuneration: £30,000-£45,000 + 10% profit related bonusBased: Near Manchester or Liverpool ideallyBenefits: Car Allowance (£7,000) & BenefitsThe role of the Contract Manager Roofing & Cladding will involve:

  • Working for a national roofing contractor within the roof refurbishment market
  • Day to day management of contracts workload (completed on time and in accordance with regulations)
  • Being responsible for budgetary control and profitability
  • Managing a team of directly employed roofers and a variable amount of sub contractors once established in the position
  • Working closely with the North West depot Service Centre Manager and three other Contract Managers
  • Working on projects across the whole of the North West
  • Responsible for installing various roofing systems; felts, liquid systems, flat roofing systems, single ply, industrial cladding systems etc within the industrial, commercial and public sector markets
  • Initially at least one site visit per week, but once established could be heavily site based, in the office every Friday
  • Typically managing 5-10 project sites at any one time
  • Providing health & safety audits to the Directors via a portal system
    • The ideal applicant will be a Contract Manager Roofing & Cladding industry with:
  • Contract Manager experience within the roofing & cladding market
  • Commercial awareness
  • Refurbishment market experience
  • Knowledge of various roofing systems; felts, liquid systems, flat roofing systems, single ply, industrial cladding systems etc.
  • Self organised
  • Must be physically fit, able to climb ladders, climb on roofs so must be comfortable with heights
  • Ideally certified in health & safety
  • Confident and articulate
