Are you an experienced deputy manager in childrens residential looking for a new challenge, where you developed skills that can be used to support children and young peopleReed is currently working in partnership with one of the largest and growing children and young people residential companies in the UK that are looking for a valued employee to join their team.As deputy manager, you will be responsible for supporting the team in smoothing the running of the home as well as deputising in the absence of the registered manager. Some of the duties will include but are not limited to:• Ensuring that the team provide a safe and nurturing environment for the children and young people and to support the service manager and registered manager• You will be responsible for the delivery of quality care services, as well as the strategic planning for developments within the home and all day-to-day management matters• Leading your team along with other professionals, you will provide the therapeutic care and support needed for each child focused on obtaining the best outcomes.• You will act as a positive role model to colleagues and children to meet their everyday living needs, developing trusting relationships that create recovery, growth, and lasting change.• Responsible for supervision and mentoring of staff, organisation of work patterns, facilitation of care-focused training and accessing of appropriate services to support the childcare practices within the home.Requirement for the role:• A minimum of one year of UK experience in a similar role as a deputy manager and a minimum of 2 years of childrens residential experience• To have developed communication, be a naturally caring, flexible, and resilient person• Hold a relevant level 4 in CYPW or higher• Hold a full UK drivers licence with access to your own vehicle• A strong knowledge of OFSTED requirements and safeguarding processes and procedures• To be flexible in working long day shifts, weekends, and sleepsWhat are the perks• A brand-new permanent role offering an hourly of £12.80 to £13.40 (Plus sleep rate £62.64 approx. 6-8 sleep per calendar month)• Benefits provided by the company included: enhanced maternity and paternity pay, free meals while on shift, an employee benefits scheme, life assurance• Full induction to role and continuous CPD and fully funded qualificationsApply Now and become a part of our journey to create a brighter future for children and young people.
