Job Description

CFO / Chief Financial Officer Manchester / North WestSalary: up to £140,000 + 20% bonus Technology Business with a impressive high growth track record are seeking an ambitious commercially focused CFO to join their senior management team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an extremely successful and growing business, whilst ensuring there are strong systems, controls and processes in place to support this,plus future M&A activity and longer term exit. Partnering with the CEO and other members of the senior management team, the CFO will take full responsibility for the finance and operational areas of the business. Youll be required to take a hands on approach to the role, acting as a true business partnerand offering sustained commercial, financial and operational input at board level. The incoming CFO must have extensive knowledge of technology based business, KPIs & Metrics and use this data to drive business decisions. The incoming CFO will have ideallyworked in a PE/VC backed growth business beforehand, ideally taking them to successful exit to either trader or secondary equity.The ideal candidate will be:

  • Fully qualified accountant / ACCA / ACA / ACMA
  • Have experience working within a Technology, Software, and/or SaaS business
  • Have a demonstrable track record of growing and developing a business including M&A activity
  • Experience of working with a Private Equity firm / or PE backed business
  • Experience of successfully managing multiple areas of a business i.e Finance & Operations
  • Experience of managing the banking relationships / facilities
  • Strong IT skills to include financial modelling skills.
The CFO / Chief Financial Officer role will be responsible for but not limited to:
  • Supporting the CEO and the board in the day to day management and running of the business.
  • Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO and members of the Executive Management Team, through preparation of budgets and financial reports and providing advice and guidance on financial strategy
  • Leading the FP&A process advising on long term business and financial planning.
  • Lead on any M&A deals and advise on potential future targets.
  • Work with the CEO and the Board on key mergers and acquisitions and to take responsibility for the effective integration of acquisitions.
  • Lead on the development of new processes, procedures and systems as the business requires.
  • Management and on going development of the finance & operations team.
  • Manage banking / lending relationships.
The incoming CFO will have autonomy over the finance & operational functions and be a key commercial, strategic business partner to the CEO when it comes to growing the ARR of the business both organically and acquisitively.
