Job Description

Buyer - Warrington (WA3)Monday to Friday, 40 hours (Hybrid)Are you a Buyer looking for an exciting and challenging role Do you want to work for an organisation that recognises your talent and supports you with your growth Our client, A market leader in the provision of Integrated Stores and Supply Chain Management Solutions for Blue Chip Companies in the UK and Europe is looking for a driven individual to join their buying team at their head office based in Warrington, Cheshireon a hybrid basis.As a Buyer you will be responsible for:

  • Daily sourcing of various items such MRO, PPE, Motors, Engineering equipment and more
  • Sourcing products from new and existing suppliers and using various tools to aid in this procedure
  • Sending RFQs (Requests for quotes) and RFIs (Request for information)
  • Cross functional team working
  • Dealing with price variances, lead time issues, plant stoppers (urgent item) and urgent items
  • Use of SAP and other interfaces designed for our client
  • Work to various targets
  • Communicate with the clients, suppliers and engineers on a daily basis
  • You will participate in tender processes for both existing and prospective clients
The successful Buyer will have:
  • Good team player
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Self-motivated individual work in a high volume turnaround business
  • Enthusiastic and energetic
  • Quick learner
  • Able to use initiative when sourcing products
  • Good customer service is paramount
  • A good background in buying, possibly at a junior buyer or assistant buyer
  • Knowledge of SAP, Excel & MS Dynamics
