Job Description

Job Title: Business Incubation Senior AdministratorSalary: £34,905 to £37,173 gross per annum (dependent on skills and experience)Hours: Full time (We understand the importance of work-life balance, and are happy to discuss the possibility of flexible working with applicants)Contract Type: PermanentLocation: Science and Technology Facilities Council, Daresbury Laboratory, WarringtonTogether, our scientists, technologists, engineers, technicians and business support team explore the unknown and turn what they find into work that changes the world around us.Come and discover how much you can achieve when you’re surrounded by world-leading experts, encouraged to constantly learn and empowered to explore your curiosity.We are looking for a Senior Administrator to support the tenant management of companies and Business Incubations Programmes.You will take an active role in the day-to-day processes of the extensive portfolio of activities including, invoicing/finance, procurement and agreements and non-routine work including setting up new processes/systems. This entails processing a large volumeof work to tight deadlines and requires a high level of accuracy since it involves dealing with finance and legal documents.You will Process Sales Order Contracts for use of equipment and facilities use, respond to tenant queries and support in the development of new processes. Collating key information on incubation companies for Dashboard and economic impact, you will producebuilding plans that provide a visual representation of occupancy which will be used as part of business continuity planning. Assisting with the processing of companies on the BIC programmes, Key day-to-day tasks include raising purchase orders, checking proof of expenditure, completing template contract agreements and recording information on the contract tracker. You willalso provide general administration support where necessary and prepare data for/attend meetings when required.Person Specification

  • Educated to degree level in a technical or commercial/business focused discipline or demonstrable equivalent experience
  • Experience of data input and data management with the ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative data and using these insights to make informed business decisions
  • Financial processes including budgets and forecasting- raising of purchase orders and invoices
  • Report writing and other written communication
  • Experience of working with legal contracts
  • Experience of working in a customer interface role
  • Attention to detail, with an ability to deal with conflicting priorities
  • Excellent organisational skills and able to use a variety of systems including file management, MS Office & database management in particular spreadsheets
  • Able to work well with minimal supervision, use initiative and work well as part of a team
  • Good problem-solving skills and willingness to come up with innovative methods of working
