Assistant Accountant Warrington30-35k1-2 days in the officeRobert Walters are recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to work for a global Technology business based in Warrington. This role will involve operating a number of key monthly financial tasks with a focus on Vat Returns and Balance Sheet Reconciliation. The Successful candidate will be supported with study support towards CIMA/ACCAKey Responsibilities * Assist with month end reporting* Calculation of month end balances and the processing of journals.* Calculation of monthly accruals and GRNI accrual* Completion of month VAT returns for the UK and overseas subsidiaries.* Assist with Balance Sheet reconciliations at the month end* Assist and provide holiday cover for our treasury function* Uploading payroll journals* Setting up tax, payroll payments and other regular payments on the Bank* Gain experience in our billing, credit control and accounts payable function* Provide nominal analysis, as required* Assist with reviewing subsidiary accounts each month* Assist with the preparation of year-end schedules* Assist with the year-end audit process and deal with any audit queries* Assist the IT department with regular testing and updates to the system ensuring correct controls are in placeKey Requirements * Studying towards ACCA/CIMA* Previous experience in a similar role * Some exposure to Vat Returns and Balance Sheet Recs* Good communication* Confident using ExcelRobert Walters Operations Limited is an employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates
