Assistant Accountant Warrington, HybridAAT Qualified or AAT Studier£25,000 - £28,000Thriving business based in Warrington recruiting an Assistant Accountant to support their busy team.The role offers Hybrid working and salary up to £28,000.Initially offered on a 12 month fixed term basis with the opportunity of a permanent finance position after 12 months within the business highly likely. Applicants will be AAT qualified or studying AAT with good analytical skills and sound judgement along with good working knowledge of MS Office products.You will be responsible for supporting the finance teams to give an integrated and assured view of financial performance.Responsibilities include:* Maintenance of complete and accurate general ledger and management accounts.* Processing information in line with Group deadlines and shared service centre SLAs.* Delivering timely and accurate information to Senior Accountants and team Leads* Prepares and maintain Journals and associated supporting documents, schedules, and reports, and analyses as appropriate* Complete, accurate and up to date fixed asset register* Reconcile Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss and Bank accounts as per the Balance Sheet Reconciliation process including Intercompany and Related Parties* Seeks ways to improve efficiency, effectiveness and processes* Accruals and pre-paymentsExperience required: * Experience in an Accounts Assistant or Assistant Accountant role is essential* AAT Qual or studier - essential* Accruals, pre-payments and journal processing - essential* Advanced Excel skills* Ability to work well in a fast paced finance environment* Excellent communication skillsBenefits include:* 27 days holiday, plus bank holidays with the option to buy or sell 2 holiday days* Discretionary annual bonus* Above market rate contributory pension scheme* Retail discounts and cashback, discounted gym memberships, cycle to work scheme etcThe Assistant Accountant role is based in Warrington and offers Hybrid working
