Asbestos SurveyorWarringtonFull timePermanent£35,636A growth and regeneration group with a strong social purpose, Torus works in partnership with Liverpool City Region and the North West to improve lives and create thriving, vibrant communities through support, investment, development and regeneration.We own and manage around 40,000 homes in Warrington, St Helens, Liverpool and beyond, making Torus the regions largest affordable housing provider.Profits generated by group members Torus Developments and HMS are reinvested into our charitable arm Torus Foundation, a community anchor institution, to fund projects that build social capital and fulfil our mission of growing stronger communities.We currently seeking an Asbestos Surveyor to assist in the delivery of a highly professional service focusing on actively managing asbestos across the property portfolio.This is an important role in which you will: Carry out asbestos Management and refurbishment asbestos surveys primarily of domestic properties however you will be required to complete commercial asbestos surveys such as offices and communal blocks Assisting in the development of the quality assurance process by validating asbestos information Assisting in the development of the asbestos register Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation Providing technical support on the management of asbestos data Contributing to the delivery of the operational plan and the development of an outstanding service Acting as a champion for change, innovation, continuous improvement, value for money and risk managementTo be successful in this role you will: Hold a minimum of P402, ideally P405 or equivalent Hold a level 4 qualification in construction or equivalent (desirable) Have experience of asbestos surveying Have in depth knowledge of health and safety legislation relevant to property maintenance and construction projects specifically related to asbestos management Demonstrate a commitment to H&S to ensure safe operations and environment for staff and customers Have the ability to travel to various locations using own transport with business insuranceGreat Torus people share qualities we value highly.
