Job Description

The company is a highly successful, agile and multi-disciplined IT managed services provider (MSP) established 13 years, specialising in systems implementation, ERP software, cloud hosting and full multi-discipline support for a cluster of impressive clients.The firm requires an accomplished 3rd Line Support Engineer to join the team. The opportunity reports to senior management level and is office-based in northwest England, easily commutable from the M62, M56 and M6, Merseyside, Lancashire, Cheshire and ManchesterThe key responsibility is to provide a reliable and assured 3rd-line Support Engineer support, taking escalations from the 2nd line and helping to solve issues within the firm’s operational guidelines to the highest level of customer collaboration and support. You will be liaising between the customer, field installation teams and the company’s senior management. Occasionally you will be required to make site visits - for example to supervise an installation - so a driver with their own vehicle is preferred (all travel is full expensed, naturally). Overnight stays may be required from time-to-time.To be considered for this excellent career opportunity you must presently be at (or have substantial prior experience with) a multi-discipline MSP. Excellent project management and interpersonal skills are essential - as is the ability to multi-task effectively, working in a highly organised style and with a thorough attention to detail. As this role is also about technical troubleshooting and project delivery you must be an even-tempered, client-facing, flexible and highly methodical IT support professional.Essential technical expertise includes (at least some of) the advanced setup/installation of software platforms such as Azure and Office 365, operating systems Windows Server 2010-2019, Exchange Server, SQL Server, virtualisation VMware and Hyper-V,hardware HP/Dell/Lenovo/San/DAS, networking WAN, LAN, vLan, iSCSI, VPN etc) and ideally also backup technologies such as Veeam, Symantec/Veritas and Datto.The role carries a highly competitive salary, excellent benefits and superb career prospects with this expanding and enterprising SME.To APPLY, send your CV and brief covering note ASAP or for further details feel free to call us .
